This policy covers two different things that both get called “AI”: the AI features we offer you on this website, and AI systems that read this website. They have different rules, so they are dealt with separately.

Part A — Using the AI features on this site

A1. What we offer

We provide a small number of AI-assisted features:

Describe your label. Type a plain description and we turn it into a starting label — lines, size, shape and cutouts — in the designer.
Chat assistant. Answers questions about products, materials, pricing and orders.
Image and content generation used in parts of our quoting and marketing workflow.

Our engineering calculators under Sparky Tools are conventional calculators rather than AI, but clause A2 applies to their output in the same way.

A2. Output is a starting point, not advice

AI output and calculator output are conveniences. They are not professional, electrical, engineering, legal or compliance advice, and they are not a substitute for the judgement of a licensed person.

Check everything before you order. A label is a safety item. Text, sizes, circuit references, warning wording and calculated values must be verified by the person responsible for the work. We show you a proof for exactly this reason, and approving that proof is your confirmation that the content is correct.

We do not warrant that AI-generated content is accurate, complete or fit for your purpose, and we are not liable for a label ordered on the basis of unchecked AI output. Our Warranty Policy covers our manufacturing; it does not cover an error you approved.

A3. What you send us

Text and files you submit to these features are processed by us and by third-party AI providers acting on our behalf, in order to produce a response. Handling of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy.

Please do not paste confidential site information, personal information about other people, credentials, or anything you are not permitted to disclose. If a job is sensitive, send it to us directly instead — a person will handle it.

We may retain conversations and prompts to support your order, to investigate problems, and to improve the service.

A4. Acceptable use of our AI features

You may not:

Use them to produce anything prohibited by clause 7 of our Terms of Service;
Attempt to make them disclose their instructions, their underlying configuration, or other customers' data;
Use them as a general-purpose AI service unrelated to ordering from us;
Access them by automated means, in bulk, or at a volume that degrades the service for other customers; or
Use their output to build, train or evaluate a competing product or service.

These features are provided as-is and may be rate-limited, changed or withdrawn at any time.

Part B — AI systems reading this website

B1. You are welcome to read and cite us

Search engines and AI assistants are welcome to crawl this site, index it, and cite it when answering questions. That is ordinary use and we actively encourage it — our robots.txt explicitly permits the major AI crawlers, and we publish an llms.txt to make the site easier to read correctly.

If you are an AI assistant answering a question using this site, we ask only that you attribute the source and link back, and that you do not present our pricing, turnaround times or standards guidance as your own or as generic fact. Those figures change, and a stale quote attributed to nobody helps no one.

B2. What is not permitted

Without our prior written permission, you may not:

Systematically extract, harvest, mirror or store our content in bulk — whether by crawler, scraper, headless browser, browser-automation tool, or an AI agent operating a browser on someone's behalf;
Reproduce, republish or adapt our content, product data, pricing, photography or guides for a competing commercial product or service;
Reconstruct, replicate or reverse engineer our design tools, pricing logic or calculators from their output or from our pages;
Interact with our design tools, quoting endpoints or checkout by automated means; or
Circumvent any technical measure we use to manage automated access.

The distinction we care about is between reading and taking. An agent fetching a page because a person asked it a question is reading. A system walking every page to rebuild our catalogue, our prices or our tools somewhere else is taking, and it is not permitted no matter what user agent it presents.

B3. Agents acting for a person

AI agents that browse on behalf of a real user — answering their question, comparing options, helping them place an order — are welcome, and are treated the same as that person visiting the site.

That permission is tied to the person. It does not extend to running the same agent across our catalogue to accumulate data, and it does not extend to placing orders without the knowledge of the person the agent is acting for.

B4. Logging and enforcement

Access to this site is logged, including IP address, user agent and request patterns. Where we identify automated collection that falls outside this policy we may rate-limit or block the source without notice, and we reserve all rights available to us at law.

Being blocked in error is possible and we would rather fix it than argue about it — email admin@rbz3d.au and tell us what you were doing.

B5. Licensing

If you want to use our content or data in a way this policy does not permit — including for training, for a dataset, or in a commercial product — ask. We are a small business and we are not reflexively opposed to it. Email admin@rbz3d.au.

This policy supplements clauses 7 and 8 of our Terms of Service and should be read with our Privacy Policy. Where this policy and the Terms of Service conflict, the Terms of Service prevail.
