Warranty Policy.
1. What This Covers
We warrant that everything we make is manufactured in accordance with the specifications you approved, and is free from defects in materials and workmanship.
If we got it wrong — the wrong text, the wrong size, the wrong colour, a bad engrave, a material fault — we remake it at no charge. That is the short version, and it is the version we actually operate by.
2. How Long
Manufacturing faults: 12 months from the date of dispatch.
Engraving legibility: for the working life of the label in the environment it was specified for. Engraved traffolyte has the text cut through the surface layer rather than printed on top, so it does not fade, smudge, chalk or peel. If engraved text becomes illegible through normal service, that is a defect and we will replace it.
Adhesive backing: 12 months, when applied to a clean, dry, smooth surface within the temperature range the adhesive is rated for. Adhesive is the part of a label most affected by how and where it is fitted, which is why it is treated separately.
3D printed parts: 12 months against defects in printing and materials.
3. What Is Not Covered
- Errors in what you supplied. Custom products are made to your specification. A typo, a wrong circuit number, or a wrong dimension in your approved artwork or order is not a manufacturing fault. We will always remake it — but as a new order, not a warranty claim. Check your proof carefully.
- Damage after delivery. Impact, crushing, abrasion, over-tightened fixings, solvents, paint, or being drilled or cut after we shipped it.
- Improper installation. Adhesive applied to a dirty, dusty, oily, wet, textured or flexible surface, or fitted outside the adhesive's rated temperature range.
- Use outside the specified environment. If a label made for an indoor switchboard is fitted to a sun-facing outdoor enclosure, or a material is exposed to chemicals it was not selected for, that is not a fault. Tell us the environment before you order and we will specify for it.
- Normal wear and tear, and cosmetic marks that do not affect legibility or function.
- Modifications made by anyone other than us.
- Compliance outcomes. We warrant the label — that it is made correctly, from the material specified, and stays legible. We do not warrant that a label makes an installation compliant, or that a particular inspector will accept a particular wording. What a label says is the responsibility of the licensed person doing the work.
4. Making a Claim
Email admin@rbz3d.au with:
- Your order number;
- A photo of the problem — and, for anything to do with adhesion or environment, a photo of where it is fitted;
- A short description of what went wrong and when you noticed it.
We respond to warranty claims within one business day. You do not need to return the item before we assess the claim; where a return is needed we cover the postage.
Where a claim is accepted we will, at your option, remake and reship the item at no charge, or refund it. We do not charge for reworking our own mistakes, and we do not require you to prove a fault beyond a photograph and a plain description.
5. Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
This warranty is given in addition to those rights, not instead of them. Nothing on this page limits, excludes or modifies any right you have under the Competition and Consumer Act 2010 (Cth) or any other consumer protection law — including any exclusion listed at clause 3.
The benefits of this warranty are additional to other rights and remedies available to you at law.
6. Who Is Giving This Warranty
RBZ 3D, ABN 11 443 880 409, Townsville, Queensland. Contact: admin@rbz3d.au or through the contact page.
You bear any expense of claiming this warranty beyond the postage we cover, and we will tell you up-front if there is any such expense — in practice, for a label, there rarely is.
