- Two-layer engraving laminate (traffolyte) — colour cap bonded to a contrasting core, engraved rather than printed.

- 1.6 mm standard stock and the default on every order. 0.8 mm where a label has to sit under an escutcheon or in a shallow rebate.

What we will not tell you
- ·That the material is “certified” or “approved”. There is no certification scheme for engraving laminate and no inspector approval scheme for labels. A supplier using those words is selling you a word.
- ·That a label makes an installation compliant. Compliance is the installation, the documentation and the person who signed it — a label is one durable part of that.
- ·What your board should say. Josh holds an electrical licence and is happy to talk it through, but the wording call belongs to whoever is responsible for the job.
