Calibration
Calibration Calculator
Calculate error, deadband, hysteresis, and linearity from as-found and as-left readings.
For reference only — always follow your site calibration procedures and relevant Australian standards. This tool does not replace a certified calibration report.

Definitions
- Deadband:
- The maximum hysteresis across all test points — the largest difference between up-scale and down-scale readings at the same set point.
- Hysteresis:
- The difference between the up-scale (increasing) and down-scale (decreasing) reading at a given test point, expressed as a percentage of span.
- Linearity:
- Maximum deviation of the up-scale error curve from a best-fit straight line, expressed as a percentage of span.
